Sweater with a Hood

In the US, a hoodie is a T-shirt (usually long-sleeved) with a hood. A sweatshirt with a hood is a hooded sweatshirt or a sweatshirt with a hood. Hooded t-shirts became popular around the 1990s. We had hooded sweatshirts in the 1970s when there was no word "hoodie."
