Compliance Certification | Sales of suspended sellers exceed $1 billion! Amazon responds to "sales blocked"
Tens of thousands of Amazon Chinese sellers, including several top sellers in Shenzhen, were punished by the Amazon platform to cancel their brands and block their accounts. This incident has become the "annual explosion" in the cross-border export e-commerce circle.
After this incident caused great attention and various speculations in the industry, Amazon finally officially released the "Letter to All Amazon Sellers", officially responding to the "Big Selling Blocked" incident!
It can be foreseen that Amazon's future regulatory measures will inevitably become increasingly stringent. Sellers must follow the rules of the platform and operate in compliance, and do not step on the restricted area for evaluation with a fluke mentality.
The solution that can be dealt with must be to require Amazon sellers to pay more attention to compliance and quality. Because if you want long-term development, you can't get lucky, and you can't do things that break the law, especially Amazon Europe.
Here, Mr. Testing would like to remind the seller partners of Amazon Europe again: the new EU product safety regulation "Market Regulation (EU) 2019/1020" will come into effect on July 16, 2021 . This means: if the goods you sell carry the CE mark and are manufactured outside the EU, you need to ensure before July 16, 2021:
● Such goods have a responsible person in the EU;
● Your products with the CE mark are affixed with the contact information of the person in charge. Such labels can be affixed to commodities, commodity packaging, packages or accompanying documents.
After July 16, 2021, it is illegal to sell CE-marked products in the EU without an EU responsible person. Since the United Kingdom has implemented a Brexit plan, the United Kingdom is not within the scope of this EU product safety regulation change.
Except for medical devices, civil explosives, and certain elevators and ropeway devices, all products with the CE mark are applicable to the requirements of this regulation.
Here, Mr. Testing has carefully compiled a list of CE marked product categories related to this regulation for sellers . Please check it yourself and confirm whether the products sold are in this list.
After July 16, 2021, it is illegal to sell CE-marked products in the EU without an EU responsible person. Therefore, please make sure that the EU inventory of CE marked goods has the contact information of the person in charge. Such labels can be affixed to commodities, commodity packaging, packages or accompanying documents.
